That having been said, I do recognize value in some forms of manga. For example, manga for young Japanese kids includes "furigana", a phonetic subtitling for ideographs ("kanji") that make the foreigners' task of learning Japanese enjoyable and memorable. However, that value has nothing to do with anime/manga's artistic (lack of) merit.
I bought my first couple of bags in cebu - one was plain and the other, taro flavored. so good!
But... you have extremely good pizza in the Philippines, at Sbarro's in the malls like Robinson's. (Not that 3M stuff...that's watery, sugary, not even tomato-y.)
Now that I have real bagels, what I miss most about America is real "sicilian" pizza.
The food I miss most from the Philippines is (don't laugh) Jollibee's, Sbarro's, and the food like hot dogs and popcorn that you buy at the movie theaters. (Movie theaters in the rest of Asia aren't as nice as the ones I saw in Manila and Cebu.)
