This is a stipple drawing I did on a blank white CD, using a fountain pen with a bronw-black ink.

The light blue slightly 3D effect behind the iris is blue-white acrylic paint applied to the underside of the clear innermost ring of the CD.

This piece was done with a message in mind: I was protesting against SONY's rootkit infestations on their music CDs and DVDs. [link]
SONY had, in order to protect its copyrighted music, put undeclared viruses on their CDs that would do serious damage to one's PC while somewhat protecting SONY's music. Initially, they denied doing such a thing...then they released a "fix" that didn't really fix it... then they got a hugely favorable judgement from a U.S. court, in which they were found liable for only a few dollars' worth of damage to each consumer.
